Are your lunch times during the school day rushed? Are you tempted to grab quick snacks for fuel to get you through the day? Start the school year right by getting tips on how to have healthy meals and snacks that provide nutrients and sustained energy. This session will provide you with recipes, samples, and cooking demonstrations to prepare you for a healthy start. Learn about the guidelines and requirements for school nutrition programs and Smart Snacks, as well as how to promote the breakfast program. Receive a copy of the student AND adult menus at SCUCISD and get ideas on how to use the cafeteria to fill in nutritional gaps.
