Reading and spelling utilize much of the same relationship principles including sound symbol relationships; position of phonemes and graphemes; syllable types; word meaning and parts of speech; and language of origin. In this learning by doing session, participants will learn how to design spelling instruction in a way that allows developing readers to better understand this key knowledge.
